Sarah is a passionate yogini who is motivated to live as sustainably as possible. Since childhood she has been inspired by science and nature which led her to study Biology at University and spent her summers living on a self-sustainable farm to fully understand the possibility of living solely from the land. Sarah uses this knowledge to inform her current lifestyle. She is a recycling nerd and tries hard to make informed product choices such as only purchasing cruelty free cosmetics and avoiding anything with unnecessary plastic packaging. Sarah never leaves home without a refillable water bottle and coffee cup in hand!
Another important aspect of her life has been an interest and passion for Yoga. With humble beginnings copying her mum’s home practice as a tot, Sarah grew up exploring yoga in parallel to 12 years of classical ballet training to enhance her strength and flexibility. Although the physical aspect of yoga initially interested her, throughout teen years, Sarah began to use yoga as a tool to manage stress, anxiety and depression. The yoga mat became the one place that she could express her true self. Completing a 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2015 felt like the natural progression for Sarah to advance her understanding of both the physical practice and philosophy of yoga. Currently Sarah teaches Vinyasa Flow and Forrest Yoga in various studios throughout South East London. Sarah’s classes consist of creative sequences, which assist students to focus on their abilities rather than limitations in order to help them to develop the strength and flexibility of their body and mind against an inspired soundtrack.
“Sourcing sustainable and ethical products can be tough and choice is often limited, especially when it comes to fashion. Planet Warrior ticks all the boxes for me. I love that their activewear is both gorgeous and high-quality. Not only do they look and feel great but I also am proud to wear a product that supports the reduction of plastic waste. I’m so honoured to be associated with a brand that makes sustainable fashion accessible.
